Generate images from text prompts using DALL-E 3
Generate images directly in the inbox editor using DALL-E 3.
How to Use
- Open AI Actions → Generate Image
- Enter a text prompt describing the desired image
- Configure generation options
- Click Generate
- The image is attached to the message for preview before sending

The image model resolves in order: your AI Preferences setting → the assistant's configured image model → DALL-E 3 (default).
Best Practices for Prompts
- Be specific about the subject, setting, and style
- Include details about lighting, perspective, and mood
- Mention what you DON'T want ("without text", "no watermarks")
DALL-E 3 may revise your prompt with additional detail for better results. The revised prompt is used internally but your original text is preserved.
Requirements
- OpenAI only — OpenAI provider must be connected
- Not available when using Anthropic as the sole AI provider
