comment.deleted

Emitted when a comment on one of your Instagram posts is deleted

type: comment.deleted

Fired when a comment is deleted - by an operator in Wexio, by the comment's author on Instagram, or during reconciliation with Meta.

data shape

type Data = { comment: CommentPayload };

Unlike message.*.deleted and chat.deleted, which trim the payload down to identifiers, this event carries the full comment payload.

The delete is a soft-delete on Wexio's side, so hidden and deleted reflect the stored flags at the moment of emission. Treat the event itself as the signal that the comment is gone, not those flags.

Notes

  • Deleting the post removes its comments too, and you do not get a comment.deleted per comment - cascade from post.deleted instead.
  • The comment text is still present in this payload. If you are deleting on your side for compliance reasons, do not log the envelope verbatim.
