Translate Transcript
Translate audio transcriptions to another language
The Translate Transcript action translates an existing audio transcription into a different language without re-transcribing the audio.
How to Use
- Ensure the audio message is already transcribed
- Click Translate on the transcription
- Select the target language
- The translated transcription replaces the original text
How It Works
The existing transcription text is sent through the AI for translation. The translated text is re-aligned with the original timestamps, so the time markers remain accurate.
The original word-level timestamps and audio duration are preserved — only the text and sentence segments are updated.
This action translates an existing transcription. The audio is not re-processed. To transcribe audio for the first time, use the Transcribe action.
Provider
Unlike Transcribe (which requires OpenAI Whisper), Translate Transcript works with any connected AI provider (OpenAI or Anthropic) — it uses the organisation's default AI assistant for translation.
Requirements
- At least one AI provider must be connected
- The audio message must already have a transcription
