comment.updated

Emitted when a comment changes - most often a moderation change

type: comment.updated

Fired when a comment on one of your Instagram posts changes. In practice this is usually moderation: the comment was hidden or unhidden.

When it fires

  • A comment is hidden or unhidden.
  • The comment's stored content changes.

data shape

type Data = { comment: CommentPayload };

There is no previous on comment events, unlike chat.updated or contact.updated. To know what changed, compare against your own stored copy.

Notes

  • hidden: true means the comment is hidden on Instagram - still stored, not shown publicly.
  • Replying to a comment, or converting it to a DM, does not emit this event; those produce their own message events.
