post.created

Emitted when Wexio records a post from your connected Instagram account

type: post.created

Fired when Wexio ingests a post from your connected Instagram account. Posts are what comments hang off - without the post record there is nothing for a comment.created to reference.

When it fires

  • You publish on the connected Instagram account and Wexio ingests the post.
  • Wexio back-fills a post it had not seen before.

data shape

type Data = { post: PostPayload };

See PostPayload.

Notes

  • publishedAt is when the post went live on Instagram; createdAt is when Wexio first recorded it. They differ for posts ingested after the fact, so sort on publishedAt if you are mirroring a feed.
  • username is the publishing account's Instagram username.
  • There is no post.updated. A caption edit on Instagram does not produce an event.
